This year’s ResearchMeet involved a number of video contributions from teachers and other researchers who were awarded funding by the Teaching Council under the John Coolahan Research Support Framework.  The research projects cover two strands – the first supports projects that are exploring existing research while the second relates to new research.  Some are being led by individual teachers, while others are collaborative projects involving teams of teachers, or teachers working with other researchers.

We were also be joined by our guest speaker Dr Cornelia Connelly, lecturer in the School of Education and chair of the School of Education Research Committee in the National University of Ireland, Galway (NUIG). Dr Connelly responded to the video presentations and provided a live input on T-REX, an online platform where teachers and other researchers can raise questions, discuss research, find support for their work, and collaborate to work toward a bigger, more connected educational research community.
