The Teaching Council has announced the recipients of the new Féilte Bursary Scheme from across primary, post-primary, special schools, special care settings, and hospital schools. The bursary’s lead schools span fifteen counties, with a total of ninety-eight schools collaborating on projects.

The Féilte Bursary Scheme is designed to support collaboration between schools, enhance teachers’ professional learning, and aims to build collaborative professional communities.

Congratulating the recipients, Director of the Teaching Council,                    Dr Lynn Ramsey said:

“Teachers across Ireland have shown significant creativity, innovation and commitment to professional learning in their applications to the Féilte Bursary Scheme. This underscores the high standards and quality of our teaching profession in Ireland.

“At the Teaching Council we are committed to promoting teaching as a profession and teachers’ ongoing professional development.

“The Féilte Bursary Scheme allows teachers to connect, share and learn from one another. I wish participants across Ireland well with their projects and I look forward to the outcomes and learnings.”

The Féilte Bursary recipients include fourteen collaborations with Higher Education Institutions, ten inter-county collaborations, and nine cross-sectoral collaborations (i.e. primary schools collaborating with post-primary).

Each bursary recipient will create a digital asset that showcases their professional learning activities.
